Competition and Cooperation
The racial annihilation which accompanied the Great Extinction deprived Eshan of their mortal creations. Ancient terms of Kovûnkal forbade the existence of more than one people per Eshan, so that the influence of one Eshan might not completely shadow all others. This meant that the derived could either endeavor to create new races from nothing, exhausting vital power, or apply their energy elsewhere. The latter was the more popular and logical, though the former was attempted by a tenacious minority.
In the following centuries, the consolidation of Eshanic power among fewer racial civilizations expanded the territory of those who remained.
For later eras, the enduring legacy of the cooperation between Eshan established the foundation that successful polities such as Koluthollas and -- were built.
