Interactions and diplomacy between these new dynasties were complicated and tense. None among them were confident of how to manage such powers, though the vestiges of Koluthollas retained some manner of authority. Power was fragmented, and the Eshan who desired freedom from any political system could find respite while others wrestled for control. Membership in one of these dynasties was then optional.
