The Ezontach

The offspring of the celestial bodies did not all form to the same mold. While many of the beings birthed were single entities, the Ezontach were an exception. The celestial body from which they hailed from broke apart into four bursts of energy, each one independent from the others. These were the Ezontach; they were by the names Dholgoum, Moriv, Borsod, and Yada. Among them, Dholgoum and Moriv were the first to mature, and were the thus the eldest, while Borsod and Yada were the younger. This division between them persisted throughout history, were the eldest related more closely to each other than their younger siblings, with the same being said about the youngest to their elders. The result was regular disagreement and fighting between the pairs.   Simple arguments of words can be readily forgotten, therefore the separation between the siblings did not manifest itself into open conflict during Olûn. They feuded, but such is the nature of siblings. However, when it came to blows the vague differences between them grew into a rift. The First Feud placed them on opposing sides in what became history’s first war, just as it did for many other Eshan. Dholgoum and Moriv chose to side with Ácolitus. They acknowledged the wisdom of his demand to halt the creation of mortal life- it was an aspect of life never before manifested, and thus volatile and uncertain. Borsod and Yada chose to side with Aebaster, thus empowering the faction of Eshanic freedom and anarchy.   Zarthum’s arrival into the Eshanic world devastated the Ezontach. Dholgoum and Moriv, the elder and stoic pair, were slain in combat against the beast. Borsod and Yada survived but were wounded and traumatized by the greatest slaughter of Eshanic life since Qasundar.
