When Ácolitus created the celestial bodies from his own energy, they dwelled in the open Void without life or purpose. Luminescent amusements, a means to make the Void beautiful, which was all the celestial bodies were intended to achieve. Centuries passed as the Creator watched the celestial bodies mature and change color to deeper and more magnificent shades and hues. During that time, the energy of these objects matured beyond the confines of mere color and shape; they took on a dimension of life, energy so intense that it took on powers far greater than light: sentience. Like eggs, a number of the largest and brightest celestial bodies broke apart in blinding radiance, leaving behind a swirling form of living energy, known as the Eshan. The first generation of these beings are known as the Alor’eshan and are the strongest of their kin.
