The All-Seeing, The Knowing Mistress

Ioun is the goddess of knowledge, skill, and prophecy.
Ioun's avatar appears as an older woman with long, wavy silver hair. Her olive skin is weathered and wrinkled around her almond shaped eyes with purple irises. She wears blue and white robes that tumble out from her form in tendrils of parchment.
Sages, seers, and tacticians revere her, as do all who live by their knowledge and mental power. Libraries and wizard academies are built in her name.

Ioun is frequently represented in religious iconography by either an eye symbol atop a staff, or a triple eye symbol.

Tenets of Faith

Whilst her name is widely uttered by scholars and sages, very little is known about the worship of Ioun or her clergy. The following tenets are attributed to her:

• Seek the perfection of your mind by bringing reason, perception, and emotion into balance with one another.
• Accumulate, preserve, and distribute knowledge in all forms. Pursue education, build libraries, and seek out lost and ancient lore.
• Be watchful at all times for the followers of Vecna, who seek to control knowledge and keep secrets. Oppose their schemes, unmask their secrets, and blind them with the light of truth and reason.
