Keledek
Sage of Saltmarsh (a.k.a. The Unspoken)
Keledek, the Sage of Saltmarsh is a famous and unmistakeable figure in the town. He resides in the Sages Tower, a three-storey edifice on the clifftops on the west side of the Kingfisher River, set amongst low trees and a neat garden.
Whilst respected, most townsfolk view the tall sage with some level of caution. Strange lights can occasionally be seen flickering in the top of his tower, and there are rumours that speaking his name aloud allows Keledek to eavesdrop on a conversation for a short time.
Whilst none know for certain, it is said that Keledek originally came from the city of Scald, far to the west across the Barren Wastes. Why he came east to Saltmarsh is not known, but he has been here for many years now, and he has become a trusted source of historical information by the Saltmarsh Town Council.
Appearance and Mannerisms
Keledek stands tall; he is almost 7 feet in height, and cuts an imposing figure. Wearing long flowing robes of crimson and deep blue, he has an unnerving stare due to his left eye being milky white with no iris or pupil. A long greying beard fashioned into two draping horns sits on his chest, beneath a weathered, dusky face, and a bright red turban of fine silk tops his head. He cuts an unmistakeable figure around town.Notable Achievements
Shortly after arriving in Saltmarsh, Keledek reportedly saved the life of Gellan Primewater, warning him of a poisoning attempt by a rival businessman. They have since become firm friends. The rival was never seen again.
