Knights Templar of the Theocracy of the Pale

Based at the Cathedral of Pholtus in Keymouth, the Knights Templar of the Theocracy of the Pale are a fanatical group of paladins and clerics that worship the God of the Blinding Light, Pholtus.
They are renowned not only for their great virtue, but also the fanatical way in which they spread their faith and root out evils. They have a very absolutist perspective of the world and it's peoples. Additionally, they are famously nationalistic, and push the agenda of the Cerulean Empire at every opportunity, hoping to bring civilisation to the uncivilised parts of the world.
The Knight Templar are a powerful faction in Imperial politics, backed up with a small army of fanatical holy warriors. They are a force to be reckoned with.
Their leader, Sir Gulzon Scaleheart, is a member of the Cerulean Senate, and is said to have the ear of the Emperor.
The Knights Templar were officially formed in 5210 AtD, shortly after the formation of the Cerulean Empire itself. Their small Theocracy of the Pale was a collection of zealous villages in the area now known as the Keylands, and they were fundamentally involved in the unions that lead to the creation of the Empire.
They are an unusually unified group, bonded by either their fervent religious beliefs or staunch dedication to enforcing justice in the realms. To these brothers and sisters in arms, evil has to be dealt with and cannot be ignored, and it is rare to see them travel alone - they are usually encountered in small groups.
