Dragon Turtle
A result of the energies of the Great Cataclysm, the terrifying dragon turtle is an aquatic dragon and a bane of sailors. They have a steaming breath weapon and rocky, uneven shells. They are at least 50 feet long, but can grow much larger. When they drift along the ocean's surface, they can look like islands to the untrained eye, which has led to legends of ecosystems and even settlements living on their backs.
Basic Information
Anatomy
A dragon turtle resembles an enormous sea turtle with the head and tail of a dragon.
Ecology and Habitats
Dragon turtles mostly live in the open ocean, but some dwell along coastlines or in inland lakes or seas. They lair in shipwrecks on the ocean floor, often vessels they sank themselves.
Behaviour
Dragon turtles amass hoards of treasure by demanding tribute from sailors passing through their territory. The seafloors around their lairs are often strewn with the remains of ships whose crews refused to surrender their valuables.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Like all dragons, dragon turtles have darkvision, allowing them to see in the ocean depths.
