Personal history
Metunus was born from a soul forge underneath Herdonia. Once he had learned from the village's other inhabitants enough to handle himself, he began exploring the surrounding ruins of Riedonum, along with some friends, in his free time. This is when he happned upon a remarkable discovery: a large strongbox hidden in a cellar. Inside, in pristine condition, was a lute, sheets of music and instructional notes written in Cyrdian, and a letter.
Written by a bard living Riedonum before the Great Cataclysm, the letter was addressed to the box's discoverer. It explained that the author, using occult divination, had forecast some unavoidable disaster, and, wishing for at least some of his culture's music to survive, gathered what he could and tried to ensure it would be preserved. He was not hopeful that it would ever be found, and even if it was, he knew that the language might not have survived. Androids, however, having been created by the Cyrdian Empire, naturally speak, read, and write Cyrdian.
Metunus was fascinated, and immediately began reading through the notes, trying to understand how the instrument works. As it turned out, he had quite a bit of talent, though he wasn't a prodigy, and within two years he could play the instrument proficiently. Ever since, he has devoted much of his time to learning and creating new songs, as well as working with craftspeople to understand how the lute was built. He pays well for sheets of music, especially from Cyrdian ruins, though such a specific find is rare indeed.
Social
Contacts & Relations
Many of the people in Herdonia stop often to hear Metunus play, and some accompany his lute with singing or drums occasionally. He especially often works with goblins, who have kept many of their ancestral songs alive even through the cataclysm. He still sometimes goes exploring the ruins of Riedonum with his old friends, and he also maintains a friendship with a catfolk woman named Fesharri, who introduced him to the god of art Chodion.
Social Aptitude
While he never shies away from a performance, in conversation he is relatively soft-spoken.
