Created by Emperor Cyrdin for the express purpose of assassinating the god Phodr, Ulem is the most powerful android ever created. After accomplishing his task, he stole Phodr's deific power and ascended to godhood himself. He is now a patron of those who serve others without choosing to do so, as well as androids and assassins.

Physical Description

Apparel & Accessories

Ulem's clothing is simple and practical: a gray robe and pants that allow for free movement, and leather boots and gloves.

Specialized Equipment

For his task in assassinating Cyrdin, Ulem was equipped with a special dagger created by Cyrdin, which was able to attack a god's spiritual being, rather than just their physical avatar. Whether this dagger survived being used is unknown, as Ulem has not been seen even once since he killed Phodr, but the dagger remains his favored weapon.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Emperor Cydin began creating Ulem slightly earlier than he began work on synthetic titans. He knew that even with such powerful weapons, he would need something special in order to conquer Phodr, as it had the protection of a god. A great deal of his time was devoted to researching how to accomplish a task like killing a god, especially to ways it was done in the past. Not only would Ulem himself have to be one of the greatest warriors in the world, but he would need a special item in order to perform the deed. Thus, a special dagger was also created for him to use.

The actual moment of the assassination was somewhat underwhelming. Ulem snuck up on Phodr and dealt the killing blow before his victim could even react. Soon after, Ulem found himself in possession of most of Phodr's godly power, making him a deity. He then vanished from history, though his faith did not. Some androids, able to somewhat sense his existence, began to worship him, and they spread his faith to others. Despite his elusiveness, Ulem answers prayers and grants power to followers.

Morality & Philosophy

Ulem took no notice of the morality of his assignment, but, like many androids, he wished for freedom from his servitude to Cyrdia. Cyrdin anticipated that Ulem might disappear, or even try to take revenge, but did not mind. He only needed Ulem for one task, and he had failsafes in case his creation betrayed him.

In reality, Ulem held no real ill will toward Cyrdin, he simply desired freedom, so once he had accomplished his mission, he left.
