Church of Avar
Background:
When Avar was first founded, many religious domains were worshipped within the village and created an unseen tension within the community. That was until refugees fleeing Clan Rell from the lands of Sobul introduced the teachings of Christ. As those of Clan Thar settled within Avar and provided essential services, their influence and the word of God grew. Eventually Christianity became the dominant religion within Avar and the Church of Avar was built in the name of Christ.
As was tradition in Sobul, a hierarchy was created and named the Dominion of Christ in order to keep the teachings alive and ceremonies unforgotten.
Description:
The Church of Avar dwarfs the surrounding buildings with it's massive size. The church has three large white towers in the front entrance topped with golden crosses and the rest of the building is made with grey stone, large stained glass windows depicting scenes from the bible, and gothic style architecture. The inside of the church has large white pillars going toward a elevated stage with two angelic statues on each side. The main floor is full of benches for prayer, beds for the less fortunate, and tables full of food and drink.
The person in charge of the Church of Avar and its services is Cardinal Iscariot who can be seen helping others within the church and offering guidance to those who need it. He hosts sermons every single day and is known as a true saint.
