Overview

Elizar's Chosen are a distinguished unit of lizardmen veterans based in the Jubal Plains. They hold a unique and revered place within the Lizardmen ranks, embodying resilience, strength, and a renewed philosophy on survival and worthiness.

Formation

The unit was formed under extraordinary circumstances. The Benefist Elizar , a powerful healer, encountered a unit of Lizardmen who were left to die in the Great Nest due to an unknown plague. In Lizardmen society, which venerates the survival of the strongest, these afflicted warriors were abandoned as they were deemed unworthy of survival. However, Elizar, through his healing powers, managed to cure the ailing Lizardmen, bringing them back from the brink of death.

Newfound Philosophy

Following their miraculous recovery, these Lizardmen formed a new unit within their ranks, adopting the name Elizar's Chosen. Their revival instilled in them a profound belief that even those who are close to death can still be worthy of fighting for their clans. This philosophy was a significant departure from the traditional Lizardmen ethos, which typically did not value those who could not fend for themselves.

Strength and Recognition

Elizar's Chosen quickly earned a reputation as the strongest fighting force within the Lizardmen army. Their unit comprises a high number of veterans, many of whom had extensive battle experience prior to their affliction. Distinctive Mark

Members of Elizar's Chosen are easily recognizable by a string of yellow silk tied around their arm. This symbol serves as an homage to the yellow cloaks of the Benefists, of which Elizar was one. The yellow silk represents the light of healing and the strength that comes from overcoming near-death experiences, as well as their unique status within the Lizardmen society.
