Mount Dawn

Overview

Mt. Dawn is a prominent mountain located at the far north of the Frostfang Expance , distinguishing itself by its size and significance. Towering above the surrounding mountains, Mt. Dawn is not only a geographical landmark but also a cultural and spiritual center for the inhabitants of the region.

Geography

Mt. Dawn is the tallest peak in its vicinity, dominating the northern landscape of the Frostfang Expanse. The mountain's imposing presence can be seen from great distances, serving as a natural beacon. The Frostfang River, a vital waterway for the Mirrorback City-States, originates from high on Mt. Dawn, where melting snows feed into its headwaters before flowing southward through the expanse.

The Holy city

At the base of Mt. Dawn lies the city of Nordentrum, often referred to as the "Holy City." This city is of significant importance due to its proximity to the mountain and its role as a center of worship and pilgrimage. The citizens of Nordentrum revere Mt. Dawn not only for its natural grandeur but also for its spiritual significance.

Temple of Dawnlight

The Temple of Dawnlight is a revered structure perched on the slopes of Mt. Dawn. This temple is dedicated to The Sun Flame , a Divine Glyph  worshipped by many in Nordentrum. The temple's strategic location on the mountain allows it to catch the first light of dawn, symbolizing hope, renewal, and the divine presence of the Sunflame. The temple is a place of pilgrimage, meditation, and communal worship, playing a central role in the spiritual life of the community.
