Athala's Butcher
The official title of the most prolific killer in the employ of the gallican royalty is the royal champion of gallica. However, the unofficial and much more widespread name given to this individual is much simpler: Athala's Butcher.
Unflinchingly loyal, this inhumanly powerful figure is an important factor of how the Athala bloodline retains control over the country of Gallica.
The Butcher first became known as such during Gallica's civil war, stacking the dead high in the defense of at the time young Magnus Athala IV. After the civil war he became a part of the royal guard and has since been a body guard and problem solver for the royal family, taking care of any threats with incredible violence. He is only ever sent by the King personally as a show of force or to deal with particularly troublesome foes.
The Butcher is an overwhelmingly powerful warrior, likely due to being magically and alchemically enhanced. He is the size of an ogre with overwhelming strength and toughness, whilst being super-humanly fast. He has a tendency of reducing his foes to little more than red smears and chunks.
It is said no mortal can defeat him in single combat, it would take an army to even have a chance to defeat him.
The Butcher's name and face is unknown to the wider public and seemingly only known to the royal family. He rarely speaks and never takes off his armor in public. The Butcher is accompanied at all times by a handler appointed by the royal family who is sworn to secrecy.
Due to his lack of speaking and his either unwillingness or inability to solve problems through any other means than through violence there are also continued rumors that the Butcher is mentally impaired and has trouble distinguishing friend from foe. Rivaling noble families continually try to push to have the Butcher retired from service, but that is unlikely to happen.
Exploits/myths:
The Truth
The Butcher is an incredibly powerful warrior due to being extremely modified and enhanced. Unfortunately this has taken a great toll on his mind. He is largely incapable of speech, barely aware of where he is at any time. If he is set loose he struggles to distinguish friend from foe. A once noble, intelligent and educated knight, now he is guided mostly by animal instinct and muscle memory.
It is for this reason the royal family has assigned him a dedicated Handler.
The Handler not only does their best to uphold public perception of the butcher as a valiant stoic knight, but also make sure the butcher does not hurt anybody he shouldn't.

Exploits/myths:
- killing over a thousand trained warriors during his lifetime
- shattering the gate of a bandit fortress with a single kick before killing all inhabitants.
- Punching a ravilian mage so hard he exploded.
