Vongrum
Vongrum, "the deep earth", is the homeworld of the Dvuergr. It is an unusual place for species not used to living underground but is actually a healthy and thriving place despite its barren appearance.
As a result the surface is almost entirely barren rock. What vegetation there is on the surface is rooted underground and can retreat if the winds pick up, in order to not be unearthed. Similarly all animal life lives in burrows or caves and only come out if the wind speeds are low.
The world also has abundant ocean life and experiences mostly normal rain and snow during winter.
Most life on Vongrum is underground, in great ravines and caves shielded from the wind. The world is very geologically active, with a molten core of fire, and great ravines and ground fissures are abundant. The winds then carry seeds from various plants into those sheltered places and thus they fill with hardy greenery, and inevitably small animals.
Meanwhile there are larger creatures that dig tunnels between these ravines to feed on the greenery, as well as predators that hunt those herbivores, either using those same tunnels or digging their own.
This world is honoured by all dvuergr as the cradle of their society, the seat of their oldest clans and kingdoms and the jewel of their civilisation. It is also very fortified and well-defended.
A Barren Wind World
The Surface of Vongrum is swep by constant tempestuous winds. They can be strong enough to blow away anybody on the surface and never die down fully. As a result the surface is almost entirely barren rock. An underground paradise
Despite the harsh and deadly winds and bare rocky surface, Vongrum is actually a verdant paradise. Most life on Vongrum is underground, in great ravines and caves shielded from the wind. Homeworld of the Stonekin
Vongrum is the homeworld of the Dvuergr. However almost none of this is visible on the surface apart from a few Adamantine-coated buildings that absolutely need to be there. The dvuergr were made to live in this world and thus thrive on an underground lifestyle. This world is honoured by all dvuergr as the cradle of their society, the seat of their oldest clans and kingdoms and the jewel of their civilisation. It is also very fortified and well-defended.
