Magnus Athala, A succesfull military commander, successfully concluded his conquest of large swathes of fertile lands from his Jotnar enemies, driving them northwards.
However instead of declaring the now human-owned lands as part of the Ravilian republic, he instead crowned himself with the Saphire crown and declared himself king over the newly founded nation of Gallica. His armies supported his claim and Raviel was far too busy at the time with its continued wars to its north and south and so did not contest Magnus' claim.
In the following years many settlements were founded in the wake of the conquering soldiers. Over the centuries, Gallica would expand from a small and insignifficant nation until it would border Ravil in the east and the oceans in the west and south.
