Alana is a pragmatic farmer who seems to know everything that goes on in town. She is a kind host and has been known to allow travelers to stay in her hayloft should they not wish, or not be able to afford to stay at Torvin's Inn. Her son Perrin is an adventurous, friendly boy and her yard resounds with the laughter of childrens play as much as the sounds of work and farm animals.
