Maura's Grace
Maura's Grace is a large trade ship owned by the Avadian merchant captain Lario of Nebrion. It is known for shipping rare luxury and specialty items from all over the Calinan Sea.
Named for the Avadian god of wealth and prosperity, it was first named the Wayfarer and was operated by Arro of Freemarket in 413 NE as a trade vessel shipping various goods from the Avadian Colonies to the Beyan Archipelago. It wasn't until Arro moved to the island city of Nebrion in 443 and retired, passing the ship down to his son Lario, that the vessel took on its current role.
Lario was considerably more ambitious than his father and had an idea- rather than being a simple merchant of general goods like most Avadians, he saw a market for rare goods and luxuries that were not easy for Avadians to receive. He also saw a market beyond the territories of the Avadian Sovereignty. He decided to try a new venture that he proposed to his reluctant Company - the ship, now named Maura's Grace, would sail the entire Calinan, collecting and purchasing luxury items and items not easily available in certain areas.
His first voyage began in Port Avadia and went all the way along the southern shores of Arikanda to the city of Kas on the far western reach of the continent of Sembar, where he collected spices, bamboo, exotic fruits and textiles from the mysterious lands beyond Kas. He then sailed back south along the Calinan shore, trading items and purchasing other items like silk garments, papyrus and feathers. He then sailed off the western coast of Calina to the island of Tenun, selling and collecting more wares, then crossed northeast to the Avadian Colonies and then southeast back to the Beyan Archipelago. His gamble had paid off, with people willing to pay great amounts for strange devices, garments and even toys found nowhere else. Inspired by this, he decided to make the trip permanent, even going so far as to take special orders from customers. Maura's Grace became known from Tenun to Kas, and all across northern Calina and southern Arikanda as a ship of wonders, its visit anticipated with great crowds visiting the various ports to purchase and sell their wares. While Maura's Grace deals in luxuries, they make it a point to cater to all kinds of people; while the wealthy and elite visit to purchase silks and jewels and various pieces of art, even a labourer can purchase a Calinan wooden ball or a stone peacock figurine for their families.

Maura's Grace is manned by fifty rowers, along with a skeleton crew of officers.
Weapons & Armament
Most of the usual armaments a penteconter would have, such as bows for defenders, have been removed. Instead, Lario has contracted two Avadian biremes to escort the vessel, which is more than enough to ward off most raiders.
