The Bystander Principle
Introduced as a counter measure to the corruption of mortals at the hands of evil gods, the Bystander Principle acts as a safeguard against unwanted divine interference. The Law states that 'A Divine being may only reach out to mortas who are already devout to the deity, or those that show an overwhelming desire to be contacted'. The law was intended to stop evil Gods corrupting mortals and expanding their influence. Though it succeeded, it aslo made it harder for other gods to spread their faith to non-believers. As a result, Gods have had to rely on mortal missionaries to spread the word of their faith to prospective new acolytes.
