Colym

The Colym is the title for an organization funded by the Graf Xlibris to enforce their legal authority over Sector Xalia. It's commonly known among the Xalians that Colym agents are actually restructured Ars explorers and travelers that were part of the group encountered during the First Contact. Given an obscene amount of power as a sort of government gift for their "discovery" of the immense resources of the Framework of the Ara, they maintain the will and the direction of the Graf in the Riven Lands while they continue to expand and find more access to any resources untouched by the Vora.   The lack of heavier regulation for their procedures among the settlements has led to a concerning amount of reports of abuse of authority, from simple negligence of duties to outright unnecessary hostility towards civilians in Xalia and Sector Maraine. It is often noted the numbers of violent reports issued against the Colym exponentially increase in Sector Maraine than in any of the other settlement divisions. People have tried to get these crimes of law enforcement addressed but the issues are consistently ignored as people swear that the Colym was designed to keep the peace, that they've done nothing but good for the Framework as they defend against Vora attacks.   To those on the other side of the experience, the civilians who've remained in Maraine, they know this isn't the case. The Colym is little more than a highly decorated private army for the Graf to keep people in check. The security theatre created by the Colym cause a lot of people who don't do their research to become confused by the constant stream of propaganda from the Graf and the Concili to keep the Xalians from questioning the results taking place in front of their eyes.   One of their major efforts is the suppression of The Barakutáshi, if not directly by attacking them when they're marked in the communities, but also through the propaganda of their own.
