The Barakutáshi
The Barakutáshi is a movement of loosely associated Ará factions born from a desire to break Ars domination from their settlements on Otapi and its many Selars. They have dedicated their efforts to the ultimate mastery of The Yer to oppose the technology and military of the Ars and their rules over their homes. People say the start of this movement was a result of a tragic experience in the mining facility where the Vora first manifested. Survivors of that incident were already angry with the way the Ars was treating them, and the resulting ignorance of the threats that the Vora created made them say that they had enough, and collectively decided to work on a grassroots movement to restore the control that they once had over their homes. The Barakutáshi started their movement by seeding public dissent, spreading information about the truth of the Vora's existence, a truth that the Ars have tried to hide from the beginning.
From this group of survivors, people who also had enough would meet with them in secret and ask them how they could help, and before long, an entire group of dissent was formed. The Ará who chose to unite themselves with this group of freedom fighters started off too small to make a difference, but it wasn't long, after the initial spread of information, that their numbers were large enough to create a concern. The Ars have a bad habit of overestimating their technological ability so even when the Barakutáshi started to grow they didn't address it at the point that would have profited them. It was only after whole settlements started to fly their banner that the Ars decided to take action.
The Barakutáshi teach that fighting should be a last resort. They understand that hostility first demoralizes and destroys their desire as a liberator of their people. So they start by spreading information about the Incident and then should conflict result, the Barakutáshi have sought mastery on defensive tactics to depower Ars aggression should it result.
