Queen of the Deep

The Queen of the Deep is said to be both beautiful and terrifying, as varied as the depths of the sea. She is the Saint of oceans across the cosmos, and the many creatures that live beneath the surface. She is worshiped by fisherman and nautical explorers, especially on planets where space travel is uncommon.   She is the sworn enemy of the Dreamer in the Deep, the Great Old One Cthulhu. The two have clashed on numerous occasions, most-recently when the Old One's servants attempted to corrupt a pod of Leviathan on Kalo-Mahoi. The Queen of the Deep's relationships with the other Saints align solely with this purpose, and have in the past resulted in alliances with the Dreamer, the Ritualist, and the Wave.

Blessing of the Deep

Range: Single Source, Single Target
Action: Standard
Duration: Permanent   When invoking the Blessing of the Queen of the Deep, the air fills with the smell of brine, and the screeching of a siren rakes at the eardrums of all within a mile. The caster of this Blessing chooses a creature who has wronged the oceans, and places upon them a foul, black mark.   The target is forever cursed, and finds no bounty from the sea. The water burns them as if it were fire, and the flesh of its creatures turns to ash in their mouths. All aquatic creatures attack the bearer of the black mark on sight, and may receive similar treatment from their neighboring species (such as the mighty Astral Leviathan).   Once this curse is placed, the caster is wracked by the rage of the sea, and is Nauseated for 1 minute.
