Chompsky: “What up, Chompy Family?! Welcome to another behind the scenes of soundBITES, the best and greatest podcast in all the stars. It’s me, ya boi, Chompsky - master of SOUND and scion of Victory. Today I have a short update for you all regarding the current state of affairs of a little planet out in the middle of nowhere, known as the Forge. Misguided Peon #1, could you tell us what the Forge is?”
Misguided Peon #1: “What do you want wi- Oh god. Okay. Uhm. The Forge is a manmade planet, okay? [coughs] Well, made by something… The Androids, maybe?”
Chompsky: “Androids? You mean the ones you’re prisoner?”
Misguided Peon #1: “Uh, n- YES! YES! PLEASE! Yes! The work- I mean, the prisoners! Yes. But it’s not illegal he- AHH! Stop that!”
Chompsky: “[clears throat] Alright, well- Shit.”
[The recording erupts with the sounds of rapid gunfire, and the ripping sound of a Solarion blade forming in someone’s hand. A battle appears to be going on in the background, accompanied by many screams. Eventually the recording fades to silence, broken occasionally by surprised gasps, short bursts of gunfire, and then more silence. After thirty more seconds of dead air, the sound of someone picking the microphone off of the ground muffles the recording, and then a woman’s voice is heard in the background.]
???: “Let’s go, Ferro. We don’t have time for this.”
Chompsky: “But they need us! If you would just give me the Staff-”
???: “No! We talked about this. Marcus is coming, and if the Gorgon finds us before-”
Chompsky: “I got it!"
[As Chompsky continues to speak, his voice deepens severely, ending in the disgruntled baritone of an adult male.]
Chompsky: "Shit. I can’t air this. We’ll edit it later, maybe.”
[There is a distinctive sound of someone flipping a switch, and then the recording ends.]
