Tower of Judgement

A tower shall be built on this ground where brothers and sisters would have slaughtered one another. This place with nothing but death and sand shall be replaced with purpose and determination. It shall be the center of this continent so all shall become equal and no longer feel superiority and resentment over one another. Purpose / Function

Creation

The tower was originally created as the center of all power of the The Phoenixian Dominions since its founding. It is where all the laws, decisions, and important matters are dealt with. Its construction was meant to be a beacon of hope and peace to the people of the Dominion and through that cement power and authority over all the Dominions.

Seat of Power

As the capital building of the Dominions, all matters of the state are addressed here behind heavily reinforced closed doors and are considered the most secure building in the world. Nothing gets in or out unless it is authorized. It is also where the Phoenix Knight makes his home along with the rest of the High Council that represents the rest of the Dominions. All laws, taxes, military operations, intelligence gathering, covert operations, and all other duties are done in the tower and alone. Any other place outside the tower is considered too risky and leads to a breach of national security.

Alterations

As millennia after millennia passed by, the tower was rebuilt over and over again, the world advanced itself, and technology became more and more advanced as the ages went by. It soon became bigger and bigger as well since there was not enough room around the capital to add more government areas around it since it would have swallowed up much of the city, so the only way to go was up, and it has continued to do so ever since. The current height of it at the moment is ten thousand feet, along with a base that is three thousand feet wide.
It could house hundreds of thousands of people, with many of its officials living in the tower since it has become so large that it would take forever to get to a meeting on time. Especially with all of the security measures put in place to avoid intruders or bombers trying to get in. You can find almost everything here, from apartment complexes and cafeterias to self-grown food buildings and emergency bunkers. There are also more restricted areas of the tower, such as the military and science wings, which are only accessible to government officials and military personnel.

Architecture

The original stone architecture that once showed itself has long since crumbled away, and every few millennia, the tower grows bigger and bigger. But the current state of the tower is what everyone sees every day in Seros, a massive windowless tower that no one can see the top from the ground for normal eyes are not capable of seeing from such a distance, and clouds cover the higher up. But no one is allowed to fly up that high except those with the proper clearance, or you will be shot down as a threat to national security. No one knows what the actual top of the tower looks like except for the highest officials that are on top of the tower, of course. Some say that tower is still being built today, going higher and higher without end. But those living on the ground will see nothing but lights and reflective grey metals that cover the entire tower.
The make is bulky-looking no matter how you look at it. The metal and lights aren't normal either since the tower acts as a massive fortress that could repel massive bombings that could level cities and a siege that could last for a thousand years! The metal it is made of is Beronite, a nearly indestructible and highly durable material, add a few more durable metals, and nothing will breach it. As for the lights, those are laser and missile emplacements to shoot down any enemy aircraft that get too close. Then there are aircraft hangers that are above the clouds to put pressure on the enemy. That's all that can be seen, for the tower sacrifices elegant design for safety and efficiency.

History

Origin

Dating back to the very beginning of the Dominions, the tower was built to cement the formation of the Pheonixian Dominions, and the unity of its peoples as the nations of the Dominions wished for the capital to be in their territory as a sign of power over the other states. But doing so would only bring superiority over the other. It was believed that building the tower in the center of the Great Waste to bring life into such a lifeless place would bring progress and unity since any states did not hold it. Neutral ground that all could share and create a settlement would be created from peace and coexistence. This would lead to the creation of the City of Seros. Tower itself would be built at the center where the Phoenix descended from the heavens, stopping the Battle That Never Was and the creation of the Phoenix Knight to lead the people of Phoenixia into a bright future.

Over the centuries

The taller the tower became, the more power it received as time went by. With it, the more responsibilities given to the government, the more centralized power was given to the tower and the tower alone. Through it, the Dominions have prospered from it. However, it has made it a target in process for enemies of the state. So many threats have attacked the tower that it had to be fortified and weaponized as it continued to grow with each passing millennia. Even the protocols must be memorized to move around the building and avoid danger in emergencies properly. But no matter how much time passes, the tower's purpose remains the same, to keep the dominions safe and the forces of darkness a bay as long as it stands. Not many stand against the tower either since it is impossible to beat it seems for it to be forever standing like a mountain in a storm and never to crumble.

Tourism

No one is allowed to enter the tower unless given permission or is a state member. All other access to it is considered prohibited, and anyone who tries to get in unauthorized access can be shot on sight or Arrested.

The Phoenix Knight's home is that of the tower, and here he has remained for thousands of years. He stays where he is most needed, and here he has remained since the creation of the first tower. But his quarters have been lost to time since the tower has hidden them from prying eyes, and it will remain that way unless he wishes to have a private audience with someone.

The tower has become more than a beacon to the Dominions but to the old world. A tower is an act of defiance against the god of darkness, the Scion, and his followers ever since it was built. Even today, his followers try to destroy the tower by any means necessary, but to no avail; it remains the brightest flame in a world of darkness, forever burning without end.

Not many people know this little secret that only the highest officials know about. The fact that the tower has an underground complex kept from public knowledge is a bit fishy and for a good reason. For in this complex lies one of the best-kept secrets of Pheonixia, the Vaults of Kenon. These vaults were originally built to lock away the most dangerous artifacts and weapons that could not be destroyed normally. The precautions put into place there make the tower's defense grid look like child's play compared to this heavily guarded area. Hopefully, nothing can get out of there, whether by someone or something.
