The City Under the Bridge
The Faded Undercity
"This city's name? Well... there cannot be one. Rejected as we are, we have tried many names before. None would resonate, nor unite us all. There cannot be a name made for us, for we live in the shadows of giants that move without our own whim.-A local Rejected
Culture
A no-named land that is occupied by many refugees that were refused entry into the Aliech Kingdom. The general layman who does his labor in Grehearth does not know of the undercity, nor do they ever interact with it. While the occasional hoodlum from The Backstreet Rats may cause trouble in the streets, many find them to be nothing more than hoodlums. Rumors have been spread regarding the undercity's existence, but few know of its true purpose to support the lives above. Separated into 4 cardinal pillars with a central pillar in the middle, each retains small organizations that keep to themselves, and do their part to keep the undercity running. The vast population that are not within these organizations are called Rejected. Individuals who were refused entry to Grehearth now do their labor in the undercity in exchange for safety and permission to reside temporarily/People of the City Under the Bridge

History
Built upon the rubble from Battle of Mo'ra, the region is known to be a vast cavernous system surrounded by large support pillars, which are considered to be home to a population of Rejected. Descending from the many paths from Grehearth Many wooden bridges and buildings wrap around inscribed pillars of stones named Core Pillars. These etchings bear a semblance of light and heat that resonates from within. These Pillars were once made long ago by ancient gnomish magic, crafted from a material known as Solaris Crystals. An extensive collection of them would be integrated into these pillars, etched with magical runes, and function as a lighthouse to deter creatures, and to provide light within the underground. The Rejected would find themselves flocking to the cardinal pillars for safety. While the land seems uninhabitable, but there are occasional specks of light as one walks through the region. As the region became more populated and infrastructure was built with steam technology, it made living within these lands easier. However, the sound can be highly deafening at times as loud pistons clang and ring from turning cogs and machinery. Rebellions that have occurred in the past were often dismantled before they ever truly gained traction. Many of the organizations know not to interfere with the daily lives of the upper lands, nor to reach these lands without permission.Government
