Ring Ibbleting
Ring arrived in Kassen with her twin brother Tang after their caravan was attacked and they were the only survivors. The pair are part of a large gnomish clan called the Ibbletings. Ring's specialty in summoning caused a bit of a stir in town when she first brought out her Eidolon, Floofles, in the middle of town. However Ring has endeared herself to the children of Kassen with her illusions, stories, and other antics. It doesn't hurt that she's about their height.
Fifteen years ago, Ring and her twin brother, Tang , came running into Kassen late one night. The caravan they'd been travelling with had been attacked and they were the only ones to escape the slaughter. The band of orcs and goblins that had committed the atrocity were hunted down and killed a few weeks later, but the two gnomes remained.
Ring is a member of the Ibbleting clan, an extended family of gnomes that can be found throughout the Inner Sea. Somewhat famed among gnomes, the family is known for artists and craftsmen. Ring is no exception, though her creative bent is more towards poetry, she is also a skilled calligrapher and has been asked to do several bits of writing by the townsfolk of Kassen, especially Mayor Jonark Uptal for a few important proclamations. Her favorite creative pursuits are silly limericks that she uses to entertain the children of Kassen when her eidolon, Floofles, needs some rest.
Ring is a friend to every child and many adults in Kassen, delighting both young and old with her illusions during festivals and any time the weather is good for playing. Besides the children, she is good friends with Golfond Kir and does her best to teach the kids not to bully him after seeing how some of the other townsfolk treat the simple guardsman. She also admires and respects Captain Gregor Wisslo for how he treats Kir like any other guardsman. While the oft-cheery gnome isn't known for hating anyone, some of the townsfolk have begun to wonder if she might hate Colbin Ventar, the guildmaster of the woodcutter's guild. No one knows exactly what started the feud, but with the addition of Tang, her brother, on Ring's side, most agree that Colbin's on the losing side of the prank war the twins are waging against the man.
As a mentor, Ring can be a bit frustrating. The strange vocabulary she uses to explain things dealing with magic leaves nearly everyone wondering what she is talking about. She is, however, a capable summoner and aware of her shortcomings, which goes a long way in helping those seeking her guidance to learn and grow once they make the initial breakthrough.
