Site of the Gazing Golems
Considered to be a myth by most this fabled location lies somewhere in the Smuggler's Corridor. It's creation and purpose are considered to be lost knowledge yet a handful of people know exactly where to find it and how to use it.
First discovered in the year 421 A.M. it quickly became a hot spot of research for wizards and scholars alike all trying to discern its age and purpose.
Purpose / Function
After many years of research mages and sages alike agreed that the Site was built upon an arcane node and acted as an arcane focus and enhanced all arcane Spellcasting it is a one of the largest known magically attuned sites on Traith.
Many powerful rituals have been cast here since its discovery with some changing the landscape of Traith forever.
Alterations
While the site itself has not changed since its discovery in the first age the surrounding area has seen significant changes in that time span. The island in which the Site of the Gazing Golems sits was once a part of the continent Pedrellis until the events known as The Shattering occurred and ripped it apart.
Architecture
The Site of the Gazing Golems consists of eight golems each standing two hundred feet tall set in a circle formation all facing inwards toward the center of the circle. it has been theorized that the site was built in this fashion to achieve maximum efficiency
History
The Site of the Gazing Golems has stood for thousands of years, it is ancient in the truest sense of the word. It was first discovered in the year 421 AM predating the foundation of many of the countries of the first age.
It has been successfully used in the creation of several artifacts throughout the age and has also been used on a few occasions to destroy artifacts as well.
