Atlantica Aegis

A team of various heroes from around Atlantica dedicated to the protection of the city, the island, and everyone that needs their help. Sometimes fighting to protect the entire world when needed!
The team was started by the imprisoned wizard, Merlin. He considers Aegis to be his modern knights of the round table, protectors of the land he calls 'New Camelot', and a shield to stand between the dangers of the world and common innocent people.
The team's headquarters is the castle Dinas Emrys on Twin Suns Island, floating above Shadowgrove Park. In the centre of the city so they can reach any threat that befalls it, yet still difficult for their enemies to reach them.

Red Dragon: Optimistic super-heroine, granted a number of powers from her heritage as the descendant of the Red Dragon of Wales. Has all the strengths of her ancestor. Considers herself the unofficial team-leader, and the first hero Merlin approached in order to recruit the others.
Alexandra Cadieux: Displaced 'ye olde' woman at arms, empowered by a heraldric spirit and possessing ki healing and elemental control over earth and water. Medic on the team, as well as tactics expert and absolute juggernaut of willpower. She even has a sassy horse!
Sugiyama Koshiro: Light and Darkness powered metahuman, runaway from a dark government project. Street brawler still adapting to his powers; light being protective and dark powers empowering his physical abilities offensively.
Lunar Fang: Superheroine that gained lycanthrope-like powers from a science experiment gone wrong. Incredibly agile and catlike, and capable of entering a powerful warform. Also a scientific expert on genetics and chemicals.
Butterfly: Trickster dragon with all manner of magical talents (just don't call her Fae). She teleports around, buffs or hinders, and most of the time does good but might be up to something!
Violet Paragon: Human nurse empowered by the incredible technology of a hostile alien empire. She's your typical paragon powerhouse, with super strength, speed, flight, durability, and heat vision!
Andrea DuBois & Jaques: Reality displaced pilot of the Fleur De Lis and her still developing sapient AI partner Jaques! Her mech, once a machine for war, has been modified into a police combat machine for use against superhuman threats, and Andrea over time has developed some powers of her own!
Lontheran Galdur: Long dead god who lingers on this world and may not have all his wits about him. Lon's a powerhouse when it comes to fighting and healing alike, but really he's a big softy who just wants to be friends with everyone if they'd let him. Like a divine golden retriever.

Support

Not officially members of the team, but individuals who help Aegis on or off the missions.
Merlin: The wizard of legend himself; a cambion (half-devil), a druid, and a practitioner of multiple forms of magic. Merlin himself remains imprisoned in his underground crystal tower in the magical forest Brocéliande, but he can reach the rest of the world through his magic... and the power of the internet. Though he can't leave his prison, he can project a magical copy of himself into Dinas Emrys, his old castle and the team's headquarters and advise them directly.
Eurion: The long dead steward of Dinas Emrys and a former knight serving under Merlin. Despite his appearance of a ghostly skeleton in red armour that patrols the castle endlessly, he really does his best not to scare any of its residents!
Questing Beast: Merlin's half-brother on his devil father's side, and a creature of legend he saved from death. While it acts like an animal, the Questing Beast is very intelligent and possesses uncanny tracking abilities and can used the magical forest Broceliande to go anywhere in the world.
Ahura Mazda: The Omnimage of another reality, who left it for reasons he can no longer remember. Merlin asked him to help train and advise the team. Like Merlin himself, Ahura is much older than he looks, and possesses an actual superpower that allows him to learn and use any school of magic in existance.
The Order of the Cog and Sword: The support team of Andrea DuBois, acting as squires of sorts for the hero and often assisting the rest of the team. Updating the castle even further from Merlin's Fae Tech and Renovation Crews.
