Atlantica's law enforcement like any other country or city comes in multiple layers. Different groups required for different objectives. Though this is commonly the P.A.P. and specialized groups acting as part of it.

P.A.P. (Port Atlantica Police)
The P.A.P. is Port Atlantica's police force that handles most situations within and along the boundaries of the city. P.A.P. officers are equipped with state of the art gear thanks to the support of SinTek donations. Standard beat cops are equipped with high quality handguns and shotguns, as well as tasers and pepper spray, and light body armor. They are equipped to handle most small scale situations and average crimes, though in situations involving metahumans and special powers they are trained to fence off areas and wait for better equipped teams or individuals to arrive and handle it.
P.A.P.'s headquarters can be found Downtown, while stations can be found in the major districts.

A.S.R.U. (Atlantica Special Response Unit)

Port Atlantica's swat force, the A.S.R.U. are trained in the use of specialized weapons and equipment. They handle emergency situations where heavier firepower may be needed, including combatting metahumans, monsters, and other abnormal threats that may appear in the city. In addition to heavier body armor they come equipped with all manner of weaponry including laser rifles.
