Cava

Cava is an oceanic world with a porous rock surface. Its seas have hundreds of thousand of different species of corals and little fishes.

Geography

It is covered almost completely in water, below the water there is a hard and porous rock surface with only a thin sand layer on top. Only a few volcanic islands peak out over the vast water body. Cava has 2 poles; the northern one is an actual island but covered in kilometers of ice, making it difficult to know where you are above solid terrain or just floating ice joined to the terrain. The southern pole is a complete separate piece of ice, without any actual landmasses, and very small compared to the northern one.

Fauna & Flora

The most dangerous thing that you can found in the planet is underwater, and doesn't move by itself, at least most of the time. It is Mofia, a carnivorous plant with long upward growing leaves with a camouflaged mouth into the fine layer of sand. This thing has a circular mouth that is constantly opened and waiting for something to touch it so that it can close in a millisecond and eat whatever touched it. The only way of knowing of its presence is to distinguish its leaves or noticing its 8 teeth peeking out of the sand as a bear trap.

Sapient Species

There is only one endemic species in Cava. They are adapted to both water and air and have both gills and lung-alike organs. From outside, they are called Kitans but from their perspective, they call themselves Kuba, the Kuban race.

Kitans

Kitans live in underwater bubbles, as if upside down bottles it was, with breathable air in their interior. They prefer to breath air, but they were born to be underwater, and so they live.Dairy of a biologist

Kitans are known to have extreme abilities with hand-eye coordination, as they have one of the most beautiful writing systems in the galaxy, comparable to Chinese, even though it sounds as Russian mixed with Arabic and some Latin vowels. This language is called Kitanec .
