Humans
Proud Conquerors
Humans have had a long and tedious journey to enter the political sphere, but have recently shown their ability to consolidate the achievements of other races to be their greatest weapon. Nowadays the Human reign of Oman, consisting of nearly all of the Central Plains, is arguably the most powerful nation in the continent. It is colloquially called ‘The Dynasty’.
Human culture is prideful and its participants generally don’t shy away from boasting their achievements or even making a mockery of the ‘Wild Ones’: the name they give the Wild Races who they consider to be inferior to them. Humans have mostly bet on the prowess of technology to succeed, adapting the firearms invented by the dwarves to varied uses. They also claim lineage from a great people that once fought dragons. Their victory over these monsters, highlighted in this abundant time for the humans, is a common symbol or motif, easy to spot in helms, banners, and adornments.
Once upon a time, Humans competed brutally against the Kenku, who were once masters of the Central Plains. But mankind defeated them and enslaved their race for their own benefit.
