Darlon-is-Met

In the center of the kingdom of Burbry lies the city of Darlon-is-Met, Darlon-on-the-Met. Thanks to its central location and being on the main road the city sees a lot of traffic to and from the capital. Over the years it has grown wealthy and vast. The city's population consists primarily of upper class citizens, though a small portion of the people are lower class. These live mainly on the western part of town. The gap between the two couldn't be larger. Darlon-is-Met is ruled by Lord Bartrent IV, who resides in Darlon Palace. While Bartrent is occasionally out in the field (read attending parties), he is most often found inside the city where he enjoys a luxurious life inside the palace walls. He would not be described as a man of the people, but if their business is deemed important enough he'll see anyone personally. Whether or not he considers your words to be of any importance however, is hard to tell. The churches in Darlon-is-Met are mainly dedicated to the Gods of Order, specifically Elaratus, the Lady of Justice. The people of Darlon-is-Met take justice very serious and adhere to a strict code of laws. One of the central buildings in the city is the palace of Justice, where all criminal are brought to trial. Nothing is considered more sacred than Elaratus' justice. No matter how big the gap between the upper and lower class might be, everyone can expect a fair trial in the city, not matter how low you may be on the social ladder. Throughout the city you'll find shops where you can buy fine clothing and ornate armor and weapons. The people of Darlon-is-Met care more about aesthetics than quality, and as such, you should not expect to find the best quality of weapons here.
