Ipsam
"Located in the center of the Kingdom of Rasfadal lies the Village of Ipsam. Ipsam is build near the ruins of Old Ipsam, which burned down in a terrible fire, a century ago. The only thing that survived the inferno was the Church of Theala, and it still stands where it always has.
The people of Ipsam live a quiet life on the Fendalian countryside. Most people work on the fields or go to the nearby forests and hills to hunt. That's about the most exciting thing that happens here.
Or... well, there's the church. During the great fire the old village burned down completely. The people feared the Goddess didn't think their dedication was adequate as had the village go up in flames as punishment for their sins.
Why would they be punished you ask me? Well, there are no official records of course, but it is said that the people of Ipsam grew arrogant. See, Theala is the Goddess of Luck and the people of Ipsam had it so good, they didn't think they needed Her anymore. The stopped holding feasts in Her name. The farmers stopped thanking Her after exceptional harvests, hunters stopped thanking Her as they barely escaped from from the forests with their lives. The people grew unthankful.
That all changed after the fire. But they are scared of what might happen when they forget to thank Her again. It would be really convenient if someone could investigate the fire. Maybe they would find that it wasn't Theala who caused the fire."
