The Aboleth

While exploring the underground caves, the Champions stumbled upon a stream teeming with peculiar squid-like fish. Ub, curious, touched the water and received a vision of massive creatures relentlessly assaulting a barrier. Disturbed, he attacked and killed one of the fish, only to hear a voice scolding him. Continuing their exploration, they faced a floating creature resembling the fish, engaging in a perilous battle. They triumphed but faced another discovery: a grand facade with tall doors. Brakathar's expertise allowed them to open the doors, revealing a stairwell leading deeper underground.

After entering the caves below the ruins they eventually found a stream, in which they found odd fish; small squid-like fish creatures. Ub decided to try and grab one of these fishes, but as soon as he touched the water he received a vision.   In this vision he was standing on a beach, looking out at sea. In the distance he saw what looked like a large barrier or arcane energy. Behind the barrier were creatures, larger than anything he had seen in his life. The beings were large enough to swallow mountains whole. They were continuously crashing into the barrier, and slowly but surely it started to give.   When Ub came by, he used his Mage Hand to grab one of the fishes and slab it to death, after which he heard a voice in his head: "Ub, what are you doing with my children?"   Unsettled Ub started feeling paranoid. After exploring further they encountered a floating creature, similar to the fish they saw in the stream. It attacked the party. A fight broke out in which Alleria nearly died, but they managed to defeat the unearthly mmonster.   After exploring further they encountered what looked like a large facade carved out of the dungeon wall with tall doors. Brakathar used his knowledge of Dwarven Stoneworking to open the doors. Behind the doors were stairs, leading down even further.
