Leaving Town

Mea, Rakarashkar, and Janek observed heavy Golden Bascinet presence around the tavern and devised a plan to escape. They created a distraction with a bar fight, then fled through the courtyard. Mordrack and Alleria faced increased guards in the Slums but managed to reach the tavern. Mea and Rakarashkar used magic to escape unnoticed, while Mordrack and Alleria decided to fly toward the East Gate. Alleria was spotted and chased, eventually crashing and surrounded by guards.

Mea headed to the tavern. He decided to play it carefully and sat away from Janet and Rakarashkar to avoid suspicion. He tried to see if they were followed. After haf an hour of watching the guards in the area he noticed there were an unusual amount of Golden Bascinets patrolling the streets. Even worse, they seemed to be patrolling around the tavern specifically.   Mea and Rakarashkar started a bar fight to create a distraction and went upstairs to get Janek. Together they tried to escape through their room’s window. As they looked outside they noticed that the square in from of the inn was carefully watched by Golden Bascinets.   They went to the back of the establishment and looked outside. The courtyard seemed to be watched by only two guards. Mea jumped out of the window, attempting his signature move once more and succeeded, knocking down one of the guards. Rakarashkar followed Mea’s lead and slammed down on one of the guards as well.   Meanwhile Mordrack and Alleria were in still in the Slums. They tried to get back to the tavern unnoticed, and used thaumaturgy to distract some of the guards. As they got a better view of the area they realized there were more Golden Bascinets than usual in the Slums. They attempted to fly away, but Alleria got spotted. For a while they were chased by the guards and knights, but they managed to escape and reach the tavern. They waited outside to see if the coast was clear and noticed that the tavern was watched by knights of the Golden Bascinet.   In the courtyard, Mea and Rakarashkar managed to knock out the guards, but the noise attracted other guards. Mea used his magic to escape with Rakarashkar unnoticed, just before two guards arrived at the scene. As they saw the unconscious guard they sounded the alarm, attracting even more men from the square. As this happened Mea, Rakrashkar and Janek fled to the East Gate, which was closed. Using Mea’s Winged Boots they managed to fly across the city walls unseen. The three took shelter behind a church outside the city and waited.   Mordrack and Alleria noticed the guards heading into the courtyard which left only 1 guard guarding the tavern entrance. Alleria used a spell to blind him, allowing her and Mordrack to enter the tavern. Inside they realized their friends weren’t there and they decided it was time to leave the city. After a brief discussion they decided that the East Gate would be their best option. As they were flying Alleria was spotted once again. Mordrack decided to keep going and made his way across the city walls. Near the church he regrouped with the others.   Alleria fell behind and was chased by knights and guards in the city streets. They managed to catch up to her and releasing volleys of arrows. Alleria attempted to avoid the arrows, lost he balance and crashed into the nearby buildings, lost consciousness and fell down into the streets where she was surrounded by guards.
