Distraught over Brakathar's death, the Champions encountered Rakarashkar, who sought revenge for a stolen horn. They teamed up and defeated stone golems, then encountered Mea, an amnesiac wood-elf. Together, they reached the throne room, where they outwitted the demented king for a final key. Beyond the last door, they expected an exit but found themselves on a castle roof overlooking a shadow-filled landscape. Svarog the Soulless revealed his plot to restore the Great Old Ones. A battle ensued, resulting in Ub's death. Driven by vengeance, the Champions defeated Svarog. They suddenly returned to the Feylin Forest, unaware of a lurking tentacle.

Still distraught from Brakathar's death, the Champions continued exploring the castle. Not much later they encountered a half-orc called Rakarashkar, who was tracking down Brakathar for stealing a horn from his tribe. Rakarashkar wanted to find his own way out, but soon realized he would need to work together with the Champions to get back home.   After defeating the stone golems protecting the keep they found aother adventurer: a wood-elf called Mea, who had no memory of how he got in this castle. Together they continued searching for a way out, and eventually they found their way to the upper levels, which lead them to the throne room. In the Throne room they found a giant skeletal husk of the old king of the castle, paranoid and demented. With smooth talk and kind words they managed to distract the King enough to find a final key they needed to open the final door.   Behind the door they expected to find stairs leading back to the surface, but instead they found themselves on a castle roof, dispite previously haven descended numerous stairs deep below the surface. The roof look out over a vast landscape covered in shadows and dreadful shapes. Giant creatures roamed through the foggy fields surrounding the castle. Several living human were tied up to stakes around the roofs, and on the opposite side stood a hooded figure in black robes. Svarog the Soulless.   Svarog told them about the Great Old Ones, beings that existed long before time. When the Gods were born the Great Old Ones were imprisoned, and all knowledge of them destroyed, rendering them powerless. Svarog was found by a cult of the Great Old Ones and tasked with spreading knowledge of these old beings to bring them back to power. Many years he had been working towards this goal, but then these Champions of the Heroes' Guild came and thwarted his plans. Now he brought them here to destroy them once and for all.   Mordrack found some sense in Svarog's words, who appealed to his lust for the power needed to avenge his village. When Mordrack was about to side with Svarog Ub attacked and a fight broke out. Svarog had many trocks up his sleeve, and managed to render several of the Champions unconsious. By the end of the battle Alleria and Ub were unconsious and barely clinging to life. Mordrack decided to try and stabilize Alleria, but as he was trying to save her Ub drew his last breath, dying in the battle again Svarog.   Fueled by a desire to avenge their friend the Champions attacked Svarog and defeated him. He fell apart into countless tiny tentacles, and Mea squished them all, ensuring Svarog could never return.   The next moment they found themselves on the checkered path in the Feylin Forest, following their guide Padrig, and followed by Kaelin and Darostan. The Champions appeared disheveled and distraught; Brakathar and Ub were nowhere to be seen. Further down the path stood Rakarashakar and Mea. No time appeared to have passed since they entered the forest. Unbeknown to the rest of them a tiny tentacle crawled off the checkered path.
