The Champions were introduced to a new member, Janek, and Mea and Rakarashkar were invited to join the Guild temporarily. They were ordered to rest at the Guild, but Charn was still at war, Darostan kept his distance, and Kaelin offered limited guidance. Headmaster Fenwyn left to find the Magrave. Learning about missing persons in Twyrif, the Champions disobeyed orders, creating a distraction to leave the Guild and head to the city.
Back at the Heroes' Guild they were introduced to a new member, a former Witch-Hunter called Janek. Mea and Rakarashkar were offered to join the Guild for the time being. Headmaster Fenwyn ordered the Champions to stay at the Guild and take a week of rest. Master Charn was still fighting in the War of the Vale, Master Darostan retreated to his chambers and focused on teaching, avoiding the Champions. Whever they tried to reach out to him he told them to let it rest, as the Headmaster told them. Master Kaelin attempts to guide the Champions and keep an eye on them, though Headmaster Fenwyn ordered her not to share too much information. The Headmaster himself locked himself away in the library, and after two day he left the Guild to search for the Magrave of the Great Vale, who retreated to the capital with the armies of Fendal. At the guild, the Champions found out about several missing person cases in The Slums in Twyrif. They all seemed to be connected. Even though Headmaster Fenwyn ordered them to stay at the guild, they decided to create a distraction and leave the Guild, headed for the city of Twyrif.
