Leader of the Bati tribe. Koto is a rare example of a horsemen magic user and is a fanatical follower of Kuda. When he was young, a group of Montese militia attacked a Bati camp, killing his mother. This even has led him be deeply distrustful of humans, especially the Montese. He seeks a better future for the horsemen, and believes that the only way forward is to remove all Montese from Jumelles.
