Suharto is the current chieftain of the Fjellmen peoples. He is a born magic user of great power, and has recently taken the mantle of mortal Champion for the old god Haige. He is a cruel and brutal warlord that hopes to reclaim the Basin at the behest of his god. He is followed without question due to a healthy mix of fear & piety. He keeps a small council of magic users that help him run the tribes.

To become a mortal champion, he bathed himself in a pool of water that was infested by the mycelium, and he emerged as what some would consider a monster.

He has recently begun having prophetic dreams of awakening a slumbering phoenix in the mountains. His constituents all claim that awakening this creature would bring the end times, but he believes he must still.
