The Brotherhood of the Frog

A conservative reactionary group in the Union of Xotlac, the Brotherhood is responsible for the Woe of Xochiyotli, when they seized control of their nations capital city to try and overthrow the current ruler due to the popular reforms that were being made.

Their initial plan failed and quickly turned into street to street fighting, which was a doomed attempt at survival on the brotherhoods part.

While they were eventually subdued, and the original ringleaders put to death in ritual combat puts across the Empire-turned-Union, the name of the Brotherhood has lived on with new adherents taking up the banner.

The frog of their name is meant to harken to a species of poisonous frog that lives within the southern jungles that is virulent enough that an adult can be killed with only a touch, symbolizing their attempts to 'kill' the Union.
