Chapel Bay
A centre of sea trade, Chapel Bay is a thriving port town with a sparkling bay to its south and bountiful plains and forests at its back, stretching north to the shade of the mountains.
Defences
The shores around Chapel Bay are rocky, and most entrances save for that watched over by the local lighthouse are treachorous. These natural defenses make the town difficult to assault by sea. Its northern borders are protected by a stone wall.
Industry & Trade
Chapel Bay serves mostly as an entry point for goods from the south and east into the provinces to its north, which are otherwise difficult to access because of the mountains that border them.
Infrastructure
The city is laid out in a long strip rising from the bay. The docks district is by far the busiest, bordered by a mercantile region where visitors can find guildhalls as well as trading squares. The northern areas of the city are mostly residential districts, with businesses catering more to locals than to merchant sailors.
Points of interest
The town's pride and joy is the lighthouse which guards its bay. Generations of druidic lighthouse-keepers have served there, protecting trade and the town itself from the dangers which lurk beneath the waves.
Architecture
Chapel Bay's southern districts are constructed mainly of red brick and mortar, with plenty of space reserved for the promotion of green space within the city. This healthy respect for nature, which many believe is a side-effect of the town's dependency on its druidic lighthouse-keepers, is reflected throughout the settlement.
