Hobb's Hollow
Infrastructure
The river ferry is the most central feature of Hobb's Hollow, providing passage across the otherwise very difficult river. Further downstream, the waters turn to dangerous rapids and undercurrents, but a friendly Naiad keeps the waters near the town calm and easy to pass over. The villagers, in turn, make sure the river stays clean, and that the natural environment around it is preserved as much as possible.
Because of how much easier it is to cross the river here, the town became important for travellers, and all manner of businesses started cropping up to take advantage of the traffic.
Districts
The east side of the river holds most of the town, including the marketplace and most of the farmland. Across the river, wealthy nobles from further east have summer-houses, giant palatial estates that sprawl along the foothills, their shady orchards a stark contrast to the area's natural evergreens.
