Driftwood Tavern
From the outside, it looks inviting, warm and clean. It's as alluring inside as it is on the outside. Hard-wooden beams support the upper floor and the ambient lights attached to them. As you enter, you are greeted by a cacophony of people and music. The tavern itself is bustling, mostly with middle class folk, however some “down-trodden” and what appears to be “well-to-do” individuals are sprinkled here and there. They all look to be locals, which could be seen as the best sign you can get. Tables are occupied by groups, couples and anyone who enjoys good company. Some individuals, likely friends, seem more familiar with the owner than others, though they happily welcome others among their midst. What you can only assume is the owner, a human female in her mid-40’s, looks your way, gives a brief, courteous nod and then turns back to the group she was talking to. You sidle up to an empty table, throw your arm in the air, quickly signalling for a barmaid, after which you become just another group of patrons here for food, drink and hopefully a good time.
