Mermoxl
Mermoxls are cat-sized Mermaforms found nativly in the waters of Ondine Sea. They are closely related to Merfolk, though lacking the intelligence. Dispite being amphibious, they rarely move travel onto land unless they are paniced, though they have been known to come ashore if they sense easy food close to the shore.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Mermoxls are cat-sized amphibious creatures that loosely resemble axolotls, though lacking rear legs. They come in a range of colours, typically muddy blues and greens and occasionally browns and greys.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Mermoxls are omnivorous, eating pretty much anything that catches their interest. While most of their prey is easy to catch, primarily slow-moving aquatic molluscs or shellfish, they will chase down fish from time to time, and have even been known to grab birds from the surface. Any larger prey will typically be brought back to their sheltered home to either be eaten slowly or shared amongst their crew.
