The Psions hold Ott Steeltoes Hostage

The Psions hold a member of the Xanathar Guild prisoner in the basement of Trollskull manor for three days as per Jaraxle's request.

Jarlaxle asks tells the party he'll front the tavern renovations so that the business can be open by Trolltide. He asks the men to hold a prisoner in their basement for 3 days until the captive would be smuggled out.   While checking out the tavern, a phantom made it's presence known by writting an onimous message, "Closing Time," on the barback mirror. The ghost threw broken furniture around the room.   Fala Lefaliir, owner of Corellon's Crown, stopped by to drop off a gift basket. They also warned the disguised drow that several elves have gone missing from the docks at night. A serial killer may be on the loose.   The bar manager, Chaszdan, arrives. The psions of House Oblodra are relieved to find Chaszdan well suited to running the business. He will take care of stocking the supplies, managing the employees and placating customers.   Ott Steeltoes is bound by Iron Bands of Billaro in the tavern's basement. The party discovers that Ott is responsible for taking care of Xanathar's pet goldfish. He believes this is very important. If the goldfish dies, the beholder might go nuts.   The tavern is attacked two Bugbears from The Xanathar Guild in attempts to find and free Ott Steeltoes. After soundly defeating the bugbears and convincing them to leave, the party decides to update Jarlaxle with a paperbird.   The party is concerned about the information they got from Ott, so they send a paperbird to Jarlaxle. He replies that he is aware of who Ott is and what his duties for Xanathar include, the party continues to watch over their prisoner.   The next afternoon, a reporter named Morton Stooge dropped by to interview the new tavern owners. He claimed to work for The Waterdeep Wazoo, but seemed more interested in casing out the joint.   No sooner than the liquor arrives that evening, so too does Soluun, the drow gunslinger. He's stuck working the dayshift at the docks, so he'll be drinking here often. He can't wait to show the off "The Big Guns" when the ladies show up.   Morton Stooge returned that night to search for Ott Steeltoes. Gurren lured him upstairs away from the tavern and away from the prisoner. The party defeated him and the intellect devourer that came out of his skull.   On the third day, Bregan D'aerthe agents remove Ott Steeltoes from Trollskull, leaving the Iron Bands of Bilarro for the party to keep. Jarlaxle hints that there's more work to be done against the Xanathar Guild in the near future.   Secrets Discovered
