Andhere of Ipsam

Andhere is a thegn of Ipsam who inherited his fathers estates at a young age. He prides himself on his looks and maintaining the image of valuable Thegn but lacks the experience of some of his brethren on the battle field. Rarely called away from his books and ledgers he has sought a way to earn enough glory to win the hand of Egefride but found himself constantly falling short of her fathers expectations. Recently he made a trip into Danish Mercia to purchase some information about the Sword of Beric and has hired a warband to help him retrieve it from Northumbria. He traveled with the warband north to retrieve the sword, losing many men in the process but earning renown for the effort. He has asked Egefride's father for her hand in marriage and he has accepted.
