Hastur
Hastur’s real name is no longer known to anyone living. He has been convinced that he is Hastur, the Yellow King, and that his sole purpose in life is to “wake up the world” by waking up the sleeping god. He believes that this world/reality is merely a creation of the sleeping god, and that if he wakes this god; he, along with everyone else will wake up in the correct reality. Hastur is absolute in his belief which makes him incredibly dangerous, and ruthless in completing his mission. He considers himself to be the hero that people don’t know they need yet. Hastur is highly intelligent, highly charismatic, manipulative, and ruthlessly pragmatic. He is not overtly evil, but will do whatever it takes to complete his mission.
He has been convinced by his own dreams of his identity as Hastur, much like Marwin Avelade was convinced he needed to make contact with the sleeping god. In reality, he is a sorcerer who is highly charismatic, and very manipulative. He’s powerful, and magical, but definitely not who he says he is/thinks he is. Hastur thinks that none of this world is real, and that this reality is just part of the dream of the sleeping god. He has convinced himself, and others, that the sleeping god must be woken up to end our existence and in doing so Hastur, along with everyone else, will wake up in the correct reality, and in their correct body.
Hastur’s Cultists believe that Kimlen Barrowfield is the enemy, and that Hastur needs to kill Kimlen in some kind of ritual in order to break a seal on Marwin’s door in a part of the world where the vale between worlds is thin. Hastur doesn’t hate Kimlen, and doesn't really want to hurt Kimlen. He views this ritual sacrifice as a necessary evil to “wake up the world - the real world.”
