With Arcane & Natural magic fading out of this world, magic and it's users are becoming increasingly rare. However, that is not to say that you cannot create a magic class. You just need to come up with a reason why you are able to perform magic. Divine magic is unaffected so Clerics & Warlocks are still around, with more and more people making deals to become Warlocks in exchange for magical abilities.

All characters are having their dreams invaded to some extent from the Far Realm, or at least will begin to have their dreams invaded the more we encounter members of The Cult, and the further we get into the campaign.
Below are a few example ideas/prompts for how your character might be connected to the story/why they are around the area of the Sea of Fallen Stars. These are merely examples, please feel free to come up with whatever you would like.

1. You have had some kind of run-in with a Cult and/or Cultists. Maybe you are a former member of the cult, maybe you escaped enslavement, or they were attacked by the cult, etc.
2. You need to travel to some place in the Underdark for your personal quest.
3. You have some connection to the Warlock patrons that helped Marwin open the door to the Far Realm.
4. You have had a recurring dream of another player character, and when you finally see them in person, it feels like you were destined to meet.
