The Santiano is a Smart and Fast Ship Built using American Plans under a Secret contract Agreement with her captain and the Master Shipwright Celia Ildefonso of Santo Domingo. The Ships Lines look clearly to be from the Americas but the wood and craftsmanship of her interior Clearly reflects the skills of a Spainyard Master Ship Builder. A Shallow Draft and Nigh on Uncatchable Yankee (Baltimore) Clipper with a Topsail Schooner rig. Santiano's hull is a bit sturdier than your Typical single Masted Jamaica Sloop found in these waters but she still can sail just as close to the wind. Her Shallow Draft makes her Ideal for Caribbean Coastlines and Shoal Waters. The Santiano Sports Double the normal number of swivel guns for a ship of her size and better maneuverability than typical ships of her size.
