Aldebaran Smith was a mage at the Free Union of Magical Scholars in the 44th century APC in the early years of the Age of Shadows.
He is best known for his early analysis into the threat of the Shadow Suckers which are thought to have first emerged into the wider world beyond the Dark Domains sometime in the late 43rd or early 44th century APC.
Aldebaran worked long and hard to discover their weaknesses and was still in the process of perfecting methods to cleanse them when he was killed in a laboratory accident.
